Bespoke Turfing Services for Bromley, Croydon, South London and Beyond.
At Jubilee Landscaping, we specialise in creating beautiful, eco-friendly lawns throughout South London. From the shady city gardens of Clapham and Stockwell, to middle-sized suburban spaces in areas like Wimbledon and Wandsworth, or much larger semi-rural plots located around Oxted or Woldingham. Our fully comprehensive turfing service delivers a lush, vibrant lawn that transforms your outdoor space, offering an immediate visual impact at a fraction of the cost of hardscaping options like paving or decking.
We take pride in using only organically produced turf and soil, certified and approved by the Environmental Agency. Every step of our lawn installation process is sustainable—from sourcing to disposal. Any waste from our projects is responsibly recycled, ensuring minimal environmental impact.
A new lawn not only enhances the beauty of your garden but also provides practical benefits. It helps absorb rainfall, purifies the air, and even improves the overall climate of your outdoor space. Whether you’re looking to create a green retreat for relaxation or a durable, child-friendly area for outdoor activities, our turfing services ensure a lawn that’s not only beautiful but also healthy and sustainable.
Based in Croydon, we are perfectly situated to assess your garden’s potential across South London, as well as locations like Epsom to our west and Beckenham to the east.
Good preparation is vital for your lawn to thrive. We use only high-quality soils, composts and turf products, sourced sustainably and locally to ensure the very best results with minimal environmental impact.
Our team installs the turf professionally, ensuring it’s well-laid and even. Flower beds and borders will be expertly shaped to your requirements to maximise the aesthetic beauty of your new lawn.
We will explain to you how to care for your new lawn and advise you on the best type of sprinkler for your garden. We have also added some information on aftercare and common concerns below.
Proudly Serving South London Communities
From Wimbledon to Camberwell, Sutton to Streatham or Clapham to Purley, we deliver exceptional turfing services across South London and beyond. Our team is ready to enhance your outdoor space and give you the lawn you always dreamed of.
You can lay turf any time of year as long as the ground isn’t frozen, waterlogged, muddy, or very dry, making it ideal for turfing in South London where weather conditions can vary.
After laying the turf, water it late in the evening with a sprinkler so the water has time to absorb into the soil before the sun comes out and evaporates the water off of it.
We suggest that you keep watering it daily (unless it rains) for between 30-60 minutes for the first 3 weeks
You should wait at least three weeks before walking on the turf to avoid damaging the roots or creating footprints in the soil.
Once the roots have established, this will bind the soil together, making it firm enough to walk on without effecting the levels.
You should wait at least three weeks before mowing the turf. When you first mow it, don’t cut it too short, aim for 4–4.5 cm and gradually cut it shorter over time to your desired length.
we recommend regular cutting to a height of around 2.5cm
It typically takes 3–6 weeks for the turf to fully root, but it can vary depending on the time of year and aftercare.
Lawns are usually fertilised twice a year. Once in the spring and once in the Autumn.
All our turf products are installed pre fertilised, so you normally won’t have to feed your new lawn for around 6 months.
One of the challenges of turfing in South London is managing lawn diseases such as Fusarium Patch Disease, the most common issue affecting grass. A suitable fungicide treatment may need to be applied two or three times to cure this. This disease is often caused by insufficient maintenance, such as over-fertilising or inadequate watering.
Weeds can be a persistent issue for those investing in turfing in South London. However, a well-maintained lawn can prevent weeds from taking root, as they struggle to survive in healthy turf. Regular weed treatments, which are widely available, can eliminate weeds without harming the grass.
Usually when the soil is prepared for the new turf, buried organic matter is brought to the surface.
The fungi spores are triggered when conditions are suitable (mild and wet), causing an outbreak of toadstools.
When the supply of nutrients in the ground are finished the toadstools will die, no more are produced so they do not re-appear.
They do not damage the lawn and by breaking down dead matter they are beneficial.
You can also remove them with a stiff broom or mower.
In many cases of turfing in South London, homeowners encounter tough Ryegrass stalks that remain upright after mowing. These can be managed by maintaining the lawn height between 12-25mm and ensuring good nutrient levels.
These are caused by worm casts which are common from September to October and March to early May.
They become flattened and smeared by foot traffic or mowing and are a nuisance.
They can create weeds or bald patches.
It is best to brush off the casts with a stiff broom.

Chris gave me a clear quote and made helpful recommendations as to how the ideas I had could be implemented and adapted to work more effectively and work within my budget. He project-managed everything smoothly and he and James worked hard, arrived on time and were friendly and polite; it was very easy and comfortable to have them on site. The quality of their work is thorough and precise and they left everything very tidy. Thanks to their professional work, experience and advice, the end result is better than I hoped for.
